The Montage Hotel’s Scarpetta, one of our perennial favorites, just rolled out the brunch-time good news. A few Sundays ago they launched a spectacular brunch for $68 (more on holidays, less for kids) and we spent our Easter Sunday there with the Easter Bunny.
Come hungry because it is a feast and it sprawls throughout their gorgeous kitchen, spilling forth into the dining room and patio. Running amongst the New York City, Miami, Las Vegas and Beverly Hills locations, the talented-beyond-his-young-and-handsome years Chef Scott Conant often times is seen preparing the delights of the afternoon.
Start at the espresso bar, then meander to the enormous freshly baked pastries of the day
and beyond to the endless platters piled with fresh shrimp, crab
and seafood galore.
The always smiling and accommodating wait staff will replenish your afternoon cocktails, while you make your way to order omelettes to your specifications,
and then pile your plate with all sorts of meats sliced to your request.
You will never miss out on Scott’s famous Spaghetti on this Sunday brunch which is enough to induce us to come.
Stop at the cheese bar for an assortment of cheeses and accoutrements from Norbert’s Beverly Hills cheese shop, then meander past it’s beyond gluttony to suggest a stop at the lavish dessert bar, but who cares, it’s a Sunday and we can all worry about dieting tomorrow.
Hang out on the patio overlooking the park, or take a stroll through the elegant Montage hotel where everyone welcomes you like you own the place. For a few hours, it seemed as though we did.
See you there!
